This site provide free service for "account aggregation". You can sign up and give THEM login/passwords for all the other financial accounts, and they will give you an aggregate financial picture by logging on to their site. Mind you, this company provides this kind of services to major financial institutions and have very strict physical and electronic security protocols in place with frequent third party audits. So this is not some start up company with nifty idea.

After this intro, it brings me to my actual concern/question: Is it a good idea to trust this company and give them login information for ALL your financial account? What would you do?

Let's have a non-bloody discussion. :D

Vanguard will do the same thing. I trust Vanguard more than some Yodlee.

Fidelity uses Yodlee as the backed. Vanguard could be using someone similar but the data would be hosted at vanguard instead of yodlee. Its a question of trust. I used to use Yodlee and then fidelity. then decided I coudlnt trust anyone so cancelled all accounts with all of them

I have been using yodlee for more than 3 years.
Vanguard does the same thing as yodlee.However,you need to enter manually all the information for your bank account,treasury bond every month (if you want up to date balance)on vanguard since it will not updated automatically .In Yodlle,it will take care by itselt every day.:)

I use Yodlee since they started in late 90s. Use it only for bank, credit cards, and email accounts. Dont feel comfortable linking investment accounts. So far no issues. It is very handy to keep an eye on various credit card accounts. Also useful to check multiple emails with single login.

No matter how trustworthy a company is, I would not give passwords of *all* my accounts to any one simply because it could be hacked from their databases.

The advice that moneycentral provides for free could be purchased for a fee from a Financial Planner; I would have the added benefit of one-on-one customized advice?

(ps-excuse my previous post, for it does not add value by itself nor does it do anything to keep the discussion continuing. :o)
