Can someone help to provide the link to the Chennai school discussions in the MSN group, or import those discussions into this forum.

Thx

My daugther goes to BVM and it is a good school. They focus more on academics and less on overall development. However, you can always opt for external training (ex: Born to Win) for that. Getting admission is extremely tough and my wife made some 20 trips to secure an admission.

Thanks MP. For what grade you tried and got? I was told to come after Mar-1st week for 3rd grade.

Hi,

Has anybody managed to get admission in Billabong school (chennai)? Could you post your experience please. I am seeking admissions for KG and fourth grades.

Does any body know if Chettinad Vidyashram is still giving out the applications.

Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem to get admitted in that school. I visited Vael's Billabong three months ago for my two sons, 4th and 5th grades for 07-08 academic year. They were ready to give admission immediately and was asking to pay an advance of 20,000 rupees per kid. I was not ready to pay an advance even before they take the entrance test.

Some of the teachers are parents of the students and I heard from the manager that there are quite a few NRI kids in their school. Met a parent on campus and she swears that this is the best school for her young kid. Her other daughter is in Sishya. According to her she prefers Vael's over Sishya.

I have not seen their new campus yet. That is supposed to be ready for the next academic year. Their infrastructure is really good. Eventhough my kids felt that the swimming pool is rather small.

Billabong.

Not sure if this is the Mumbai based Billabong group managed by Leena Asher(?).

If it is, it may behoove one to do some research on a controversy involving the Mumbai based Billabong group, Eurokids and VIBGYOR schools.

Unfortunately I have no comment or info about the school itself.
