Myself a recent R2I, moved to Gurgaon and wanted to know about the Amadeus High school... Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with this school?
Your feedback is appreciated.

Hi Agprabhakar,
We are also planning to R2I in Jun 2007 and my spouse visited Amadeus school in Jan 2007 and we have a very good impression about the school. Infact we have pretty much decided to enroll our kid ( 4yr old) there. Fee is very nominal although they have most of the international school level curriculum (except for the initial admission fee which is high).
The other negative is their school timing is only till 2.30 pm or so - which they said they are introducing after care in year 2007/'08.
Please post your comments .. thanks

hi,
I am a chennai native. My husband and I have r2i very recently (Jan 2007) to Gurgaon. We are put up in sec-31. As I follow very lil hindi, so far the transition has been extremely difficult for me. Can someone help me by recommending some good south-indian resturants/ grocery shops/ agencies which will provide tamil-speaking maid/ driver. Thanks.

thanks hayagreeva, we put our kid in Amadeus for now.. main reason is the student/teacher ratio which is 1:10 here...

I visited this school today and here are my observations:
They obviously have experience doing this havign managed a large school in Dehradun for 50 years
The whole thing is under construction and I am pretty sure that it is going to continue for another 1-2 years. though GGN as a whole is a huge construction zone, I dont feel good about leaving my son ( with history of breathing problems ) in this environment day in and day out...
The class rooms and facilties seem to be a notch below Suncity World and Scottish high which are the other 2 schools that I am looking at.
I cant comment on the teachers or the teaching techniques yet.

Hi!
My husband has got a job in Gurgaon sector 51. I am moving to gurgaon last week of April/ first week of May. I have two kids 10 and 6.I know there was a nice post in the old forum regarding schools in gurgaon.I could not find that thread. If some one can please help me with the information. How easy or hard is to get admission in any one of these schools? How much do they cost?
Another question regarding real state in gurgaon. Does it seem that lot of apartments are empty. How are the brokers there? Is there any broker that any one of you would like to suggest?
There was a R2I NCR group. Is it still active there. Can you guys / gals include me?
Thanks a lot.

Hi
We are also moving to Gurgaon in another 10 days ! There are lot of school choice and it depends on what you are looking for like traditional schooling or kind of international or a good mix of both which is normally a dream come true. We also have a 9 yr old ( will be going to 5th there) and a 4 year old. We are having talks with a school called www.scottishigh.com and there are many other good schools like Amity,Amadeus, suncity, ryaninternational, pathways, gdgoenka, shriram, heritage etc. With google, you will be able to get websites for others.
Also mostly academic year starts in April and they close for peak summer in May and June.
As we are in the process of moving etc I dont get much time to be online. So if you need more info, please leave your contact number thro the private message in this forum, and surely will get back to you.
Good luck with ur plans...
ps- please use the search button in the old forum and you will get all the threads about gurgaon/NCR schooling info.
