Which is the best airlines to travel while R2Iing as far as bagge limits are concerned? I understand that most airlines allow 2 bags( 50 lbs each) per person.

We will be travelling from Chicago.

Hello,
Does anyone know if I can travel to India with a one-way ticket. I recently became a US citizen and plan to apply for a PIO visa. I was told by the travel agents at MakeMyTrip.com that I cannot travel to India on a one-way ticket if I have a US passport. This seems to be suspect because another travel agent (Avani Travels) said that I could buy a one-way ticket. Anyone know is there are any restrictions on the type of ticket you can buy?
Thanks,
Raj

To Reply #1,
The information you are getting seem to be absolute nonsense. From where do you get this ? Or may be I am missing something. You are not transiting India. You are planning to live here permenantly for this purpose. Why do they need to see 2-way ticket.
But certainly it is advicable to get your PIO(or OCI) there itself. It will make lifee little bit easir. Or get tourist or Resident Visa.

I can not believe that there are restrictions on the type of ticket one buys. However, I will say this : I once ended up travelling to US on a one way ticket (pans changed etc) and the security (pre-boarding) at every place asked me why it was a one way ticket and I had to tell them the whole story. So, I think one can expect more questions from the security guys, but I can not think of any reason why one can not travel anywhere in the world on a one-way ticket.

but that is my 2 paise.

Hi,
I will be flying from the west coast of US (bay area) to India via Singapore next month.
A while ago someone mentioned that Silk Air flight from LA to Singapore is on a bigger plane with more spacious seats than the flight from SFO to Singapore.
Can someone comment on the truth of the above statement?
Checking on the website I found that the LA-Singapore flight is A320 while the SFO-Singapore flight is Boing777. The A320 has half the no of seats compared to 777.

Thanks,
