Guys any information on the availability of elevation stones/slates in Chennai.
If it is not available easily in Chennai, which place would be the best to procure it .
Had a chance to visit some of the showrooms in chennai , but also those are costing at least in the range between of 280 to 340
Suggest me a way ...
Heard about Stonearts.D in bangalore ....

Elevation Stones/Slates
Hi,
Stones for facade are in a wide range of 60 to 800/- per sft .you can look for following options
1.Slate stone -40/ to 80/-per sft -widely available in granite and marble shop areas,looks good only from min distance of 10', available in light and dark colors
2.Rough Granite tiles -80/- to 120/-per sft - widely available in granite shops,looks good from near but gives you very tilee effect,available in grey and dark greys
3.Jaisalmer stone - 120-180/- per sft - gives a very ethnic look, very soft stone and need to be maintained regularly
4.Granite cut stones - 210-300- per sft - Cut and installed on site, takes time for hand cutting, available in various finishes,easy maintainable,very good textures,patterns can be made
5.Metalic stones - 250-600/- per sft - like copper based stones, slate stones with mica base,various patterns ,colors,textures can be made of it
Stone-art has very good and rare collection but at high range(.you also go for granite "buch" works.

Cosmo Granite on OMR (karapakkam) has a fab collection so do Goyal Granites on ECR in Neelangari. Price range acroos the board, but you will find something to your taste for sure.
