Passport photo for new born

Post by peace_lover »

Gurus,

Have anyone among you taken a passport from some place in Dallas area for a new born baby. I am planning to apply for passport for my new born asap.

Does anyone recommend any place in Dallas where we can take passport photos for new born. Places like Walgreens have difficulty taking passport photos for new born.

Thanks in advance

With Kids, the best thing is to get your digital camera out, take a decent sized passport photo. Upload this to epassportphoto.com and crop it per specification. All set for less than 50 cents for about 5 photos. I used for my daughter's passport application.
FYI, this will come handy for PIO/OCI card as well.

Indian embassy is asking for 35mm x 35mm size photos, but it seems we get 2x2 inch photos everywhere. Is it ok to send 2x2 inch photos? How do you all handle this? Thanks.

We got ours in the Richardson post office, couple of years back where we submitted the application.

I've done the following in the past for Indian visa/pp related requirements:

1) W/ a pair of scissors -- Easy

2) Printed my own digital printer using an online service that allows printing custom size (the site was mentioned in the R2I forum... am not able to recollect the thread title) -- Slightly difficult and the picture quality was not very good (my printers' bad)

3) Gone to professional studio -- Expensive and time consuming

I've been using this software for years now:

http://www.onthegosoft.com/passport_photo.htm

It costs only $10 and well worth the money, considering you'll pay nearly as much for just 2 passport photos at Walgreens.

Basically it takes a regular digital mug shot of yours as an input and creates passport photos of any size you want.

I usually upload these converted pictures at Walgreens.com, order prints and 4 hours later collect it from the nearest Walgreens store. Costs only 30 cents for a 4x6 print.

I have also used this software and is very good and also easy to use. I have used it for OCI /PIO application and had no issues.
