Barbeque Grills in India

I have a propane BBQ grill here & I've always enjoyed B-B-Q'ing.

Any place we can find a similar type grills in India? or If we take BBQ grill to India - do we get compatible propane gas tanks in India?

I tried googling but didnt find any good info.

Take a portable charcoal grill. It is much better in taste but difficult to clean/manage which should not be a problem in India(you can get it cleaned).

Just curious - what do you barbeque? I have come across very few Indians who consume beef and that is the default food for grilling.

I have a cousin who built his own coal barbeque. If there was one in the market he would probably have had one.

There are lot of options... its not just Beef & Pork ribs that goes into the gril. Food from grill is healthier compared to Deep frying. Here are some yummy options...

Vegie Options :
-Wild mushrooms
-Asparagus
-Zuccini
-Variety Bell Peppers
-Squash
-Corns
-Garlic Breads
-You could make Kabob style skewers with these vegies
(Everything should be marinated a day before, For Vegies I prefer Olive oil seasoning + Pepper + Salt + little Indian garam stuff if you want to add Indian taste to it)

SeaFoods :
-You can do variety of seafood stuff, with different type of spices added.
-Salmon is good choice
-Pomprets - Full fish grill
-Prawns are real yummy & crispy on grill

Chicken & Mutton :
- You get different variety cut chicken from stores.
- You could do Tandoor style chicken
- Lamb or Goat - you could do Kabobs, Sheikh kabobs etc

(Seafoods , Chicken , Mutton can be marinated to our Indian style with proper mixing of Indian Spices, Some Indian stores sell ready made Indian style grill mixes)

I've bbq'ed w/ cooking coal, wire mesh grill and bricks for frames while trekking w/ friends.

BBQ'ed chicken and rice flour roti's (kenda-rotti, [burning coal rotti] in Kannada) wrapped in aluminum foil was heavenly.

Indians have traditionally used BBQ's, but the food choices and methods of cooking using a brazier has been very different

Roasting corn and putting chili powder, lemon, butter & salt also tastes good. Just like back home.

I am planning to take a George Foreman Rotisserie Grill..

Cannot replace a barbecue grill, but the rotisserie does a decent job.
