Anyone have any experience using any wifi service in India? I will need it for about a month (about 4-5 hours a day.) I don't want to have a regular broadband service installed just for a month. Any suggestions/experience, pricing, ease of setup/use, etc.? How secured is it?

Reliance Netconnect works well in most parts of india. Account signup is slightly painful, will need to fill up forms at a reliance office (provide copy of pan card etc). reliance sends someone to verify the address etc. Will take couple of days. Actual usage and connectivity is good. Their cheapest plan starts at Rs 199 a month. They do not have a PCI-Express version of the card yet, (check your laptop slot). but they have a USB version which works fine as well.

I am getting ~220 kbps...it is available in many cities (too many to list). It is good enough for most but very high graphics intensive work. For more info google on reliance infocomm and go their netconnect card links or contact them for details specific to your city of choice.
