Anyone from Canada

Post by doesntMatter »

We have to visit Canada by March'08 to complete our Landing Process formality. We are not planning to immigrate right away and are planning to visit Canada for 2-4 weeks. Our order of preference for the city where we would like to stay during this 2-4 week period is:
Toronto
Vancouver
Ottawa

If someone knows of where I need to look to find accommodation for the short period, please let us know. If you know of someone who leases basement apartment to immigrants for short periods of time, can you please PM me ?
I'm already looking at ads at Craigslist but they seem to be expensive. We do not need anything fancy, we just need bare necessities.

Check out www.hotwire.com or www.priceline.com to look for cheap accomodations in and around the Toronto area. I have used them in the past to get very good deals (~USD 45 for a 3* hotel). Look for accomodations around the Pearson airport OR other suburbs.

You could even check out extended stay suites and see if they can offer a deal for a longer stay.

you can look for youth hostels too if you dont mind people on a budget as your fellow residents. I'd stayed in one in Toronto and they were ridiculously cheap
