Is this for sale or rent?

If I buy/rent and cook and eat fish, what the heck will be done?

Thanks. Mea culpa - did not notice that - perhaps because my eyes were on the veg families only.

I have always wondered about such " vegetarians only" ads.
Do the owners come in daily and check what's cooking in the kitchen?
Is the term "vegetarians only" indirectly mean brahmins only?If thats the case why can't they just say so?

No. "Vegetarians only" means people who do not cook meat/fish in their kitchens. There're many housing societies in Mumbai that are "vegetarian only" societies. To reduce the possibility of meat cooking, such societies do not allow muslims, christians, sikhs as members.

1. The owner will not come and check daily as to what is being cooked, but when they say vegetarian only and we sign the lease saying so we will have own consciousness

2. Brahmins are not the only vegetarians there are many other people who are vegetarians, how about the ones who are vegan here?.

Is the "will not eat / cook non-veg" going to be part of the lease agreement?
Are such restrictions allowed under Indian law?

---------------------
Nanganallur has more Brahmins than many other areas of Chennai and Tamil Nadu. So I would not be surprised if the "veg only" is a euphemism for Brahmins and certain other veg upper castes and is asking others not to waste their time and that of the owner. It aint difficult to determine the caste of a person from name, speech and other indications, when the person comes to meet the owner and shows interest in renting.
