Accessing social security administration

Post by yugpurush45 »

I am not able to access social security administration http://www.ssa.gov from India. I have made several attempts. If anyone is able to then please post and let me now what network (airtel, reliance, bsnl etc) you are using. Thanks. There is no problem accessing the site in USA.

It could be that the access is blocked from non-US IP addrs (I don't know if that's the case). If you work for a US company, try accessing the website after logging into a US system -- over VPN etc.

Thank you Asif for replying. But that is what I am trying to verify. There are millions of americans living overseas and getting social security benefits and must use the site. Can you access: www.ssa.gov from banglore?. I will really appreciate the reply.

I connected to http://www.ssa.gov from Noida. I could also access other links from the site. No problem. I did not try to logon, etc. as I do not have a SSN, never having lived in usa.

dbs,
Thank you very much. I really appreciate your effort to help me. Now if you will only tell me what network (BSNL, MTNL, RELIANCE......) you use to connect to the internet. My reliance network in Himachal (Dharamshala) does not allow access. It does allow access to other .gov sites like medicare etc. Waiting for your reply.
