I checked it out yesterday in NJ. It's a small event with mainly 5 companies showing presence.

Google

MS

Satyam

L&T

Bally's[/LIST]
Each have booths and seminars.

L&T has the best opportunity, but their presentation was very rusty.
Bally's is surprisingly refreshing and it's the only one with goras doing the show.
Google is too geeky, at least for me.
MS and Satyam have standard HR setup.

If anyone is interested in getting the specific HR details, send me a PM. These guys are specializing in finding R2I mindset candidates.

For those in the west coast, next Saturday would be a good opportunity. I don't know how the crowd will be there, but it was very small in NJ, which kind of works good for those present as you get a lot of time with each booth.

I'm looking to relocate to HYD by May 1st 2008. What kind of skills were Satyam and L&T looking for?? I know MSFT and Google are too geeky for me, So I know I won't fit there.

Satyam has opportunities for pretty much every level of experience in IT.

L&T on the other hand is close to $6 bil in revenue now. The best thing about L&T is that they are going public (I think so) in another year, while trying to add thousands of employees more. So those who join in the next 12 months might hit big after that IPO. They also have opportunities in US & Europe. Check out L&T infotech opportunities. They have more opportunities for hands on programmers/QA Analysts than managers.
