Interesting R2I experience: Outlook Article
"After a few moments of dodging my pointed questions he said that other tenants of this upscale apartment complex might take offence to sharing elevators with sweaty delivery boys and smelly milkmen."
Actually, this is the reason for not allowing the lift in a class ridden society.
Another funny thing I observed is the question "What are you doing? What is your salary?" I visited some Government offices and they aske me point blank these qns. Why they ask this qn which is unrelated to the purpose of my visit?

So they can ask you the right amount of bribe  I think all government office should have surveillance cameras to monitor corruption.

Prophetic words these:
Presumably, being able to afford a nice apartment in a secure, gated complex with a gym and a swimming pool, I?m a "have" and a chill runs down my spine imagining if someday my head will roll off the sharp blade of a guillotine.
Great article. Thanks for posting.

Maheshwari,
Great article and thanks for posting the links. Reminds me of the old saying "India is a rich country where poor people live"
