Would like fellow members to comment. Appreciation, brickbat or anything else? :e

This neighborhood grocery store
Vivid, abundant and more
Stocking dewed and fresh
Cilantro, dill, zuccini and squash
Causing my mind to slip gleefully
Into a buying spree ...

Back in room after tasting the fair
I realize falling short somewhere
Something orthogonal to thime, oregano and rosemary
Oh, I dearly miss those leaves of curry!

Suma, on the occasion of celebrating your 1K milestone, why don't you post your earlier(loooong ago when we were discussing half saree) poem about wind. I believe you are the first one to start the poem in this forum.

Ok MR, dug it out ............

This thread has got me thinking
Of lassies in half-sarees and tummies showing
Of amorous lads furtively peeping
Maybe moving onward for pinching

And then Iam taken back in time
In school my teacher taught me this rhyme

"The wind, the wind ,the naughty wind
It blows the girls skirts high
But God is Just
And sends the dust
To blind the Bad Boys' eyes!"

And I hope that when next those creepy fingers inch
There will be a Sita Sena to make them whinge....and twinge
......and cringe!!!

Education is nothing but frustation,
which defies extinction and always has an extention,
It is carried on from generation to generation
and from tradition to tradition
If not succesion, then father's insulation
and mother's consulation

So it is my suggestion
to give up education and takeup cultivation,
As it is the destination of our nation.

My first education was when
The bully quivered a bit
when all the puny boy did
was to just stare back in silence.

I feel for the educated
what a heavy hat to carry
the unsophisticated can walk with no points to prove !

I went to school to see what education can not do
My learnings have been from the streets of life
sweat,guile,little tears,defeat and some hopes

I hate the rat race as much as you do
when my strong hates slacken
i start getting worried again .

(not my first . just wrote this now )

Knowing others is intelligence;
knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength;
mastering yourself is true power.

If you realize that you have enough,
you are truly rich.
If you stay in the centre
and embrace death with your whole heart,
you will endure forever.
