Which wood shutters are good for wardrobes. Rubber wood OR Plywood with veener coating. Some says Rubber wood have problems and some say plywood have less life . COnfused :confused:

Rubberwood has high degree of resistance to insects, fungus and mold. It also has compatibility with most adhesives. And plywood has the thin veneer on the outside, if it gets damaged too deeply it will reveal the substrate and the peice will be ruined, with wood you could just sand or plane it out. Plywood is also difficult to work with hand tools. If you use plywood you will have to apply edgebanding so the plys dont show on the finished piece. Personally I hate plywood and only use it when I absolutley have too.
