And that, is how to cookie crumbles!!!!

There have been many such members who have contributed great lengths and posted several interesting and thought provoking stuff prior to R2I which really got folks like me hooked on to this forum (and thus TNT was born!!). But then, soon after R2I, their pace, frequency and subject matter gradually decreases and who could blame them? After all, they did make the choice to move away from the "monotony" of "wake up-log in to forum-go to work-log in to forum-eat lunch-log in to forum-return home-log in to forum-eat dinner-log in to forum-go to sleep" to a more event-filled routine with friends, family and extended family back in India, didn't they?

So, while the rest of us wait patiently for a few posts/updates from them every now and then, I bet they are partying out there in India! :-)

But seriously, I hope folks who return at least get to spend enough time with their families as intended, and not just get caught in the hectic-ness of a busy life.

It may not be partying, even though I know you said in a jest,. It's more of a stage of their life that got accomplished. Very few like me still hang on to some extent an year after R2I. I think the secret lies in the pattern of posting before R2I.

If a frequent pre-R2I poster, was limiting oneself to sections in the forum that addresses pre, during and post R2I aspects, then the chance of losing interest after accomplishing the 'goal' is higher. Once the dilemma, planning, packing, shipping, post-R2I settlement is done, then what's there to talk? Yeah.. to for a few more weeks or months, one would share updates, but it's inevitable that the interest fazes out.

Try only giving out your updates for a month and you will see how quickly you get bored.

Maybe a multi-grain cookie crumbles lot slower than uni or bi-grain cookie :) Enough of the conch stuff for today.

There is recognition and prize (i think $500) for best diary. By far ILH diary has got most attention from me out of all the diaries.
Though there are not any recent postings in long time, i still think this deserves to get appreciation.
if you liek this thead, express it at below link to show appreciation to ILH.

This diary currently ranked 2nd to another HYD diary by "HYD Ki".

ILuvHyd;353717 ...Post any questions you have and I will try to answer them as soon as I can.

Nice to see update in diary. I am sure you meant questions related to what you posted, but I cannot resist asking this : ) While going from Chandanagar towards KPHB, there used to be a medium sized natural lake in the Miyapur area, on the left side of the road, a decent distance away from the road but still visible. Is that still there?

ILuvHyd;353717 Overall job situation is good in India. Hyderbad is lagging. More details on it later. 5-8 year experienced technical leads with hands on are in most demand. Getting a good management job in a new company might take some time. More on it later.

Amen to that brother! Thanks much, we have similar stories to tell, we followed your diary, inspired by it, nominated it, now living it ;) we just R2I'ed to HYD after 16+ years and currently "dazed n confused" even after all the R2I forum help... still looking for a home and a job.

ILH:

thanks for your recently posts. Welcome back.

we are considering Kennedy High and Silver Oaks schools for our kids. if we choose that, we want to move there to Miyapur.
I heard there are lot of manufacturing and pharma units near by. What is your take on pollution in that area if we were to live there.
We woudl consider SMR Vinay oy My home jewel or other gated communities to rent initially before making it permanent base

Any thin you would like to add on these schools Kennedy, Siliver oaks, Sentia, Vikas and any other good schools in your area would be helpful

Yes Suny, air and sound pollution (adjacent to highway) is a problem in this area at least for me. Some of the residents may differ. The pharma units near IDA Bollarum are the culprits. The sound pollution from the highway is also a problem through out the night. The houses interior to the road might have less sound pollution.

It's one of the reasons I moved my permanent residence to KPHB 6th phase close to Malaysian Township.

I compared these schools 2 years ago and selected Kennedy High Global. Both my sons go there. I am happy and content with that school. They will continue to go there even after I move to my new house. Search for my posts on schools in my diaries. Also mk2007 has written very extensive on schools in this forum.

There's a special Kennedy school busy that goes directly from SMR Vinay to Kennedy.

I traveled to my home town Rajahmundry this weekend for my high schoolmates reunion. I studied in Govt High School for Boys/Training College, Rajahmundry from 1986 to 1990. This is a very famous school and at that time the only Government English medium school in AP. This school is associated and co-located with the B.Ed college. The president of India visited our school in 1987 for school's centenary celebrations.

I met most of my friends after 20 years and it was great fun. Most of our families were present there as well. Day 1 is at the local River Bay resort and day 2 is boat journey to Papi Kondalu. Very scenic journey. APTDC is organizing good tours from Hyderabad. This boat journey might vanish if Polavaram project is competed. If possible, see it before then (may be 2 years).

Here are some photographs. Full Album at - http://picasaweb.google.com/ILuvHyd00/20101226RJYTCSchoolFriendsReUnion
