Cooking range with oven or hob

@poofygoogle - which type of oven did you go with? Do you recommend any specific brand?
I'm also not in favor of cooking range for exactly the same reasons you mentioned and not looking for separate cooktop & oven.

Cooking range with oven or hob

@mylai1 - I actually have the smaller version of the oven that I got from US and we went with Kaff hob and Kaff chimney and did not buy an oven. We made the provision but did not go for it yet since I am not too much into baking stuff. If I need cakes or pizza I just get them!!

I have researched a lot on this. The variety of cooking ranges available is limited. For example I wanted a cooking surface of 2.5 ft and turbo convection oven. I didnt find one. Most of the cooking range have their hob of width 2 ft. So finally I bought a 3 ft Glen chimney, 2.5 ft Elica hob and a 59 lts glen turbo convection oven separately.

@Ravi999 - happy with the Kaff Hob and chimney. No glass top - regular 4 burners easy to clean. auto ignition. Get the chimney model with less noise. I am ok with mine but less quiter is good. Recently I see ads for Elica models which is advertised as less noise but check it out at shop and then buy.

Hey, Amgetting my kitchen made
. Need to decide on the hob. Am told by some not to use hob
instead to go on for a table top as in Indian cooking conditions
Its not easy to.clean hobs and results in coachroach and grime. Even if
I go in for hob to stick to indian burner instead of european as tbey are not
suitable for Indoan cooking...takes tome heat etc.
Need your advice as you guys have already gone for hob etc.

Cooking range with oven or hob

Bumping up an old thread to see if folks can suggest a couple of good brand names for chimney and hob for an apartment in Hyderabad. I'm aware that this info can be googled (gilma, faber, kaff etc); but, I would like to get the opinion from folks who've had experience buying these. Looking for something which is easy to clean and maintain, makes little to no noise.
