this was reply of Kapil Sibal, HRD Minister,GOI regd institutions that do not have AICTE recognition
On the related note,Junior minister of HRD has said that AP tops in the number of Engg colleges per state
of the total 2872 Engineering colleges in India, 593 are in AP
TN with 433,UP with 313 and Maharstra with 270 are in the next positions

593/2872..thats a whopping 20%+ and growing,thanks to the bankrupt policies of AP govt

This should throw somelight on so many AP folks in IT and probably we will continue to see more unless there is another field to absorb all these graduates
