Copy of parents passports for OCI family group

I have recieved my surrender certidficate and we are applying for our OCI(Me, husband and our child with PIO)
I am applying in the family group. But still do I need to keep copies of both parents indian and US passports? OR can I omit this sine we already have enough documents and originals in our applications?

You can guess and send minimal docs, or just follow the checklist and send multiple copies to be safe. The process takes 4 months, why take a chance. For some docs I had to send 8 copies, that checklist is long and confusing. My application weighed several pounds. Separate each set of docs in letter size envelopes, and put them all in a big box. You never know how these are processed.
