Can anyone comment on commute time from Purva Parkridge / waterwoods to Inventure. From Google maps it looks like Purva Parkridge is a little far. Could not find Waterwoods on the map.

Also need to know how these communities are for Kids:
Prestige Ozone
Chaitanya Armadale
Purva Parkridge
Waterwoods

These and palm meadows were the properties given to us to choose from, have heard plam meadows is good for kids. We are kind of trying to check if the other communities are kid friendly too and if there is a good mix of expat + local. Armadale seems to have only 30 houses in the community so not sure how that would turn out, the layout looks beautiful though.

Any inputs are appreciated. TIA.

The list that company provided does not show the rent, but I checked craigslist and it seems pretty high.

My budget is between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 will I get a decent accomodation in Bangalore? I would prefer Independent House or Villas, never lived anytime in an apartment in India so I don't know how they are, but from the look it does not appeal to me, may be I am wrong here.... Will have to go and see though.

My company is also in Whitefield/ITPL area (Brookefield?). I am hunting for schools as well and willing to compromise on commute if kids get admission to decent school with-in Whitefield or outside WhiteField as well.

Villa will be difficult to find at 20-30k range. We had found couple of villas in Palm Medows at about 31k, but we did not like them. there were rowhouses/town house for rent in Pruva parkridge for about 33-35k, in the same community you can rent a villa for about 40-45k.

Prestige Ozone >> rents could be 80k and above. never seen inside but from outside looks upscale. You can see it from the top of whitefield forum value mall.

Chaitanya Armadale >> Right next to Whitefield Forum value mall. Good community. rents could be 30 & above - based on availability & size.

Purva Parkridge >> planned villa community. Lawns manicured all the time. Security is there every block inside. Inside the community, you won't miss anything about the U.S. It is in the mahadevpura area in a gated community. townhomes are multi-level. villas are nice but could be 45k and above. townhomes are slightly cheaper.

Waterwoods >> close to palm meadows. ground floor apts are good.
Palm meadows >> awesome but mostly for expats. Multi-level security to get in. Most expensive neighborhood in Bangalore.

Is your company paying for it?. What about maid svc?. Be prepared to pay a premium for maid svc, club house, maint, etc.

commute time .. depends. check google maps for dist and route. in peak times, double the time for commute.

If u want to walk to buy groceries, sundries, then armadale and waterwoods are better choices as they are right on the whitefield road.

Thanks acss, that was very helpful.I was leaning towards purva parkridge, but looks like it is a little far from Inventure. yes, company pays for a while but for continuity i would prefer a lower rent which we can continue to pay. Armadale rent was quoted much higher, will check after we land there. I'm more interested in a community with kids activities, lots of kids to play with etc. Armadale did not have a large play area.

I thought traffic was lesser in whitefield so commute should be faster, if school and work are in whitefield area.

You might want to consider Prestige Shantiniketan (PSN). It is just getting ready and has around 100 - 200 families occupied. Within the next one year, I would expect this number to shoot up to over 1000 families, which should provide what you are seeking for - lots of kids to play with etc.

However, PSN is not a villa, but a good apartment complex.
