Separate Drying Machine....which one good one?

Post by pravi »

Folks,

I have an LG TROMM, washer/dryer and it does not dry properly (as in US).
It appears I should go for a separate dryer. Which one is good one?

Thanks.

If you can get it, Whirlpool makes the best dryers in India. But for some reason it is not available. The local rep claims that it is available only in the North (Delhi, may be Mumbai) and that I cannot get it shipped to Chennai.

Siemens also makes a dryer, which may be more easily available.

In most parts of India, we only get IFB dryers (which are not very energy efficient). We don't use the clothesline at all. Our monthly utility bill just the for dryer is likely to be at least Rs 2k.

Even if Whirlpools' is marginally better, it can pay for itself soon.

Does anyone have an experience with the Lloyd 100% dryer? I came across one in Girias Bangalore. It seems to look better than the IFB 100% dryer in construction though the energy consumption might be the same.. No other reviews or product details are available online.
