Opinions on Brigade International School - Whitefield?

Post by gopalsubs »

We are planning on moving to Bangalore around Aug'10....and would like to get opinions on Brigade International School - Whitefield.

Heard that this is a new school and has only Nursery to 5th Std....which is ok for us. Any feedback would be appreciated on this school

Thanks.

I had visited this school. Looks very nice. Costs over a lac per annum. Close to a Railway line, so, some noise issue should be expected. Met the principal and one or two teachers.

The biggest issue that I had with this school was there were very few kids overall. This was as of Dec 2009.

Agree with MrLong. They are having issues with fewer students. Infrastructure wise it is excellent but I heard that Principal left in a year. Cost wise also pretty expensive compared to other schools with similar facilities. Acamedics wise, they are not any different from other schools(don't have first hand experience but have heard from few who stay in our apartment complex).

Feedback from parents at this very useful site http://zeeksha.com/school/the-brigade-school-bangalore#comment-1463 or at www.bangaloreschools.net

In fact, perhaps admin might consider adding these sites to the Stickies.

We visited Brigade International school last week for admission of our kids ages 8 and 4 . They have very few kids. The school is close to a railway line so there is some noise. The school doesn't have a Principal. Plus quite expensive. We will most likely put our kids to Greenwood High.

We recently visited this school, like others mentioned, one issue we found was there were too few kids. We also got to see arts room, library etc only from outside. The swimming pool is not functional yet as they have some license pending. Our kid goes to UKG and his standard is way ahead of the UKG kids there, as he is a fast learner and used to go to Montessouri and Kumon in US so we expressed our concerns how he would cope with the other kids who are still starting to learn the phonics for which they didn't have a good explanation than what we had from Gopalan International.
The kind of interest Gopalan staff took to take us through the campus and show the facilities was very impressive so we settled for Gopalan. Besides Gopalan has snack provided for the preparatory and lunch from the 1st grage, which Brigade didn't have, one more thing we liked about Gopalan.
Fees wise both schools are same more or less. Brigade charges around 80K with no donation, but Gopalan charges 60K fees plus 60K donation.
Hope this helps.
