How can we get a part time driver in Hyderabad?

Post by rasi »

We need a driver for the 2nd car ( to take my retiree dad around while the 1st car is used by other family members).

Mostly he goes to places like hospital( regular checkup), market ( not the one nearby but for larger purchases), temple and such which are not a daily basis thing.

My relatives in Chennai tell me there are some agencies from whom we can get a part time driver on a dily basis ( pay for the day something like a few hyndred Rs per day).

Are there similar ones in Secunderabad area? He doesn't need this everyday & hiring a driver fulltime would be a waste. Could you please post contact info of such agencies?

Thanks in advance.

Used Best Choice drivers. Talked to Mr. Venkatesh who talked pretty good. Wrote a contract for 20 days to be used with in a year. They sent us pretty good drivers. Had no issues. But I think you should have a notebook and get the drivers signature for the days u use them. We should have done but I think u learn by experience. Let me know if you need more details.

hi sunny
can I ask how much does permanent cost. are they paid on monthly basis or any other. did you research any other ways. I have two school going kids, I'm considering to switch off their school bus and use driver instead. the driver will do school and office runs and also take wife for shopping etc.

Is that how you use your driver. pls post your findings.

i think the permanent ones are anywhere from 6000-8000 based on what area you are and how far is the driver away from you. I think finding a right permanent one is luck and timing(i think so). I too have 2 school going kids and right now I am letting them go in the school bus since the bus comes right to our apt. complex and picks/drops them. So I think it is more convenient for me since I don't need to worry about dropping and picking them up in case the driver doesn't come. It depends on where you live on the price of the drivers. Let me know if you need more information through PM.

I am letting go of my driver since i bought Automatic car and am comfortable to drive it on my own now.
He will be available from 15th of March and can be available sooner also if anybody interested.
He worked for me 6 months and has been reliable and safe driver. So i would recommend him highly.
Before buying automatic car, i borrowed a MT car from a friend and he drove it for 4 months.

Here are more details
1. Paying Rs 7500 per month
2. Works 6 days a week and he likes to take Sunday off. But came few times on Sundays too on need basis and i paid him extra money or given day off on other days.
3. He has his own 2-wheeler and lives in Chitalbasthi/Khiartabad area.
4. He is working for us during 8am - 6pm on most days with time for lunch/tea breaks for him. Since he lives very close to our house, he would go home and come on 10 min notice.
5. He is around 35 years ago and has around 15 years of driving experience. We can find some body with 1-2 years driving experience between 6-6.5K

If you are interested in hiring a driver, send me PM. I can send you his phone number or ask him to get in touch with you whichever you prefer.
