Chennai School Admissions - Academic Year 2011 - 2012

Hi,

As 2011 is approaching, lot of schools will start its admission procedures in the next couple of months. I just thought of initiating this discussion, so that people who are planning to R2I in 2011 (primarily for the kids education) can get benefited from this link.

We can list the following items in this thread:

Probable dates for getting application forms.
New procedures and regulations
Latest Ratings of Chennai Schools
+ any other info which can benefit the parents

Please share your thoughts.

Thanks for starting this thread. We are planning to leave in Apr/May 2011. So I am very much interested in knowing about the admission deadlines in chennai schools for 2011-2012 especially around velachery area schools. Please add your inputs on this friends!

Hello sd7. I guess we are in the same boat... I am planning Apr/May 2011 too. Maybe we can share notes.. How old are the kid/s ? I have an 8 & 6 yr old.

r2ipuneri! My kids are 7 and 3. I am really not sure where to start the admission process to schools. Where are u going to settle down in chennai?

Hi Karthik,

Thanks for starting the thread. We are moving to India (Open to both chennai/CBE) in 2011 depending on where I get the school admission . My kid will be going to 6th std. If Chennai, I am looking into Sivaswami kalalaya Mylapore. Appreciate if someone can give more details on this. As far as the tests are concerned I heard the dates are flexible.

L&T has sent out a newsletter giving photos of Bhoomi Pooja for PSBB at Eden Park. It also states " For further details on applications and admission procedures kindly contact Mrs. Sasikala or Mrs. Vanitha at 28340746, 28341886".

Hi All,

My Kid will be 2.1 yrs by June 2011, can you suggest schools where admissions are given from Pre KG onwards (2years and not 2.5 years) both CBSE and ICSE. I am put up in Medavakkam.
