Private messages

Hi,

I am a new member and I would like to receive and send private messages. I have received a couple of private messages, but unable to reply to them. The error displayed is:

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I read the FAQ about this. I am not sending spam messages to the members and neither am I soliciting any business. Could you please enable private messages for me? Please see my thread at:

embetter;324203I was trying to send a private message. But, it was not enabled. I read a FAQ which says that they would enable it after I have posted 10 useful messages. I will send a message to the admin and try if I can get the feature enabled ASAP. I have received a couple of private messages already, but unable to reply to any of them currently.

Most probably you should automatically be able to respond to PMs after 3 more posts (10 in all). As long as the posts follow the "]CoC, they count towards the 10 needed to activate Private Message feature. "Usefulness" of post is subjective and optional :-)

You can private message a member by clicking on their name in a thread, just below the day-time on left-top. And when their Profile page opens, click private message on the left margin and voila ...you will get to PM facility and you can send a PM.

It is possible for a member to block PMs. maybe the member has done that.
