OCI question

Hi,
I have a question regarding OCI. We applied for OCI and they reached/approved at Chicago office. (Based on the online status.). For collecting them what is the best option? Do we need to go or send the passports in the Fedx?

You don't need to go there. Once the status indicates that they have received the OCIs back from Delhi and are ready for your passports, you can send the passports and they will mail everything back to you. You can also send Indian passports at the same time to get them cancelled.

Seems like you are based in Cedar Rapids and that is about 200 miles away from Chicago... If you are planning to travel to Chicago, then you can go and get it stamped personally. It takes half an hour for the process.

Else, FedEx is not a bad idea.

Though, with my experience with Indian Consulates, I would think twice before sending passports by mail.
