2011 School admissions in Hyderabad

Could some one let me know the following for the schools :
1) DPS - near Hitech
2) Gowtham concept school - near JNTU

A) 2011 admission application issue date
B) entrance exam

I have called DPS since it is in my list too. They will start admissions in January. Asked me to call back at end of December to get these dates.

Just to share info about other schools in my list.

BVB is giving applications from Dec 13th. For LKG, kid should be born between June 1st 2007- May 31st 2008
JPS is giving applications tentatively on Dec 6th. Same age criteria like BVB.
Obul reddy starting on Dec 20th for Nursery to 1st grade adn afround Feb 15th for 2nd grade and higher.
Geetanjali will start applications on Jan 2nd.
Chirec folks will update their web site either tomorrow or friday about their dates. Last year they did applications in 2nd week of December.

If any body knows any dates for other schools, please share.

Oakridge, Glendale Academy, Orchids Int'l adminssions are going on.
Meridian Banjara is saying call in Dec 3rd week. Meridian Madhapur has started giving out forms. It looks like each Meridian branch is following its own process/timeline. Any one knows which Merdian branch is good/better among Banjara, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur?

Anyone has any further update on Chirec, BVB, JPS?

Update from CHIREC: Got an email today evening; they've invited me to come on Monday for registration and presentation + guided tour. Note that I've applied for LKG/PP1 for my son by emailing the enquiry form few days back..so looks like things have started moving.

let me know how it goes at Chirec on Monday and also if you can update with fees (tuition, Transport, food and one time admission fee etc), that would be great
I have twins applying for PP1 there as well. sent the form yesterday.

Here are more updates on schools:

JPS asking now to come or call on Dec 15th to find out admission schedule for LKG.
Kennedy Global (Bachupally) started giving applications today and registrations will start on 19th. Fee : 45K tution, 12-18K bus, 12k Lunch and 30k non-refundible fee
Silver Oaks (Bachupally) starts applications on 18th. Tuition fee: 25-30K Bus: 10-15K (based on distance), lunch 12K. 15K one time non-refundbile. Not sure . second hand info.

Vidyaranya doing admissions for Nursery and 1st grade now. Admissions started already on Oct 1st. Long list of applicants alraedy. Other grades in march based on openings.
Chaithanya vidyalaya asked to call after 10th
Chinmaya will give applications for LKG on 6th 7th.

gautp: first year of return is always tricky. Because admissions in HYD start in December (already started at soem schools).
Some schools may give admissions without kids being here (Oakridget, Srinidhi, meridian, Glendale). Some may send test over seas (Chirec). My list may not be accurate. You may want to call schools of your chioce to find out more.
We had same issue this year. my kid cam in June 1st week after her school over in Texas. She did nto have very many choices this June to join 3rd grade.

Please look at threads in the links i gave which will give list of schools that will give admission without kids being here or you need to start calling.
Waiting till March or April till they come to HYD may give you very little choice.
Not to discourage or scare you, even though we are all physically here in HYD, i find it challening to get decent school admission lined up for next year for my kids (4th grade and LKG) at schools that i have listed already.

Cambridge kind of programs are easy to get in becasue they are more expensive.
It is easier to get admission at LKG level than at 4th grade level which am going to face now again.

Update on CHIREC: Went for registration today for PP1 admission. Lots of people and very limited seats; high demand as expected. For PP1, there is no screening or interaction or anything; they said its a random selection process, and we'll be notified whether selected or not in 3-4 weeks.

Fee structure as follows for PP1 & PP2. This is for CBSE curriculum; Cambridge fee structure is different & higher than this:
Annual fee: 11500 (once a year)
Tuition fee: 7700 (3x yearly)
Recreation fee: 4600 (3x)
Conveyance fee: 4200 (3x)
Lunch: 11100 (1x)

One-time payments:
Admission fee: 30000 (non-refundable)
Caution fee: 20000 (non-refundable)
Security deposit: 20000 (refundable)

Hi,

We are planning to get our daughter admitted to class 1 in 2011. Does anyone know if the admission forms are being given out for Chirec, DPS, Oakridge and Sreenidhi? I checked their websites but it doesn't give out information for 2011 admissions.

Went through registration process @Chirec for PP1 for my son. Will update if we hear anything. Not very hopeful though given lack of transparency in selection process
