Last min. ideas

Hi All,
Finally me and kids(9 yr Boy and 2 yr girl) are moving to India in next 3 weeks. I am in my final packing stage. I need some suggestions on taking things to India.
I am not planing to take containner. But planing to take extra bagage trhu airlines or cargo.
Here are the things that I am plaining to take...please give some suggestions on these things whether it is worth or not?

Electronics:
40" LED TV,
Blue ray dvd player,
Ipad
Wii
Laptop
DS

kids:

Cloths
toys
Books
shoes
Pull ups, diapers for my 2 yr old.

Kitchen:
Some nonstick pans and pots
Corning ware set
Knifes
peeler

Other:

Dresses
Sarees
Hair straightner
Electric shaver
Comforter
Fleece blankets
Hand bags
Back packs
Shoes
perfumes
Hair sprays
Medicines for kids

Please give some thoughts on this.

IMO, absolutely fine. See if you can buy more toys for your kids. They almost cost 3 times here in India. Take 300 Watts convertors (220V to 110V), all the lower watt ones which I got here conked off. The other option is to buy Adapters here (WII Adapter cost Rs. 750 -- 220V to 12V)

Where can one buy this adapter? There must be many appliances that need 220V to 12V adpaters...or does one need to buy one for WII? Our TV is still in the shipping but as soon as it reaches here, WII will be the first thing that will be tried. I should better be ready.

I got mine at Mercy Electronics, Chennai. You can probably ask for it at electronics shop like Croma. They might have it or they will suggest a place from where you can get it.

I think, if you can attach a extension cord which comes with 4/5/6 outputs to one step down transformer, then you can attach multiple devices to one.

for ex: with one transformer in living room attached with extension cord which has multiple outputs, you can connect tv, wii, bluray player, ps3 etc

In mumbai, we got it from a shop at lamington road. You can get all sorts of electrical work done there. I am sure most cities would have some place like that.

My suggestions based on my experience with a 5 yr and 2 yr old.

Wii - Yes.
Laptop - yes.

kids:

Cloths - yes
toys - yes
Books - yes
shoes - not really
Pull ups, diapers for my 2 yr old. - yes. Take enough for a month and potty train the kid in that time.

Kitchen:
Corning ware set - yes.

Other:

Back packs - if you already have a good one, yes.
Shoes - yes
perfumes - yes
Medicines for kids - just for the first month or so.
