Home Construction: Plumbing your new home

I am in the middle of a construction project for my future home. I have benefited a lot from inputs by various members in the thread for home wiring.

Plumbing is a critical part for any new construction. Would appreciate inputs from experienced members in listing the important points in plumbing.

There are many things to consider but I will start with listing few that jumps to my mind right now:
1. Size and make of plumbing pipes. (1" vs. 1.5")
2. Same make and size of pipes to carry hot and cold water?
3. Type and make of pressure pump.
4. Which pipes will need to be hooked up with pressure pump?
5. I guess the pressure pump will have to be connected to inverter. Correct?
6. Water heating: Solar vs. gas geyser. I'm leaning towards solar.
7. Water heater should be able to handle the high water pressure from the pump. Is Tata Solar water heater good enough and proven to work with pressure pumps?
8. Which whirlpool jet system (jacuzzi) do you recommend, if any?
9. Ready made steam cabin vs. custom setup with steam generator and enclosure. Which one do you recommend, if any?
10. Pls list any sites or blogs for indian home construction/plumbing that you recommend.
