I haven't heard of a FIL-SonIL remote fight before because the TV is always hogged by MIL-DIL for watching those stupid soaps! The irony is that those soaps always depict a tiff between the MIL and DIL!

Typically, the SIL gives in to the request for the remote by the FIL, but follows up with complaining to DW about her father's taste for TV programs. :) Now, in return, he doesn't expect DW to go tell the FIL to go easy, but use it as an opportunity to buy a bigger/latest model TV for himself. :) Men are good at converting an adverse situation into a win-win situation. :)

Always true as FIL stays with son rather than with SIL. DIL are house breakers, so u will always hear these stories

So funny how some parents of Indian men have a huge sense of entitlement just because their child is a son. :)
