Review about manthan International school Hyderabad

Post by sansar11 »

Hi,

Does anyone have a review on Manthan International school in Hyderabad? I am thinking of putting my kids there. If anyone in Hyderabad has experience with the school, would be a big help. I have heard its a new school so not much to prove yet. But I am in touch with them, so far seemed good.

thanks,

I personally do not knoe much about Manthan but i heard/read good things on forum. Only negative was that it did not have decent playground.
Use search forum option and search for manthan. You will get some threads and then you can search those threads. most likely you will get 2011 Hyd schools thread and 2010 HYD schools thread. if you want to read more parenttree.in has lot of feedback on this school as well.

They are opening a 5 acre campus in Gopanapally, and according to their website it will start functioning from 2012. That should have a decent playground.

I see a few parents asking about this school and thought i'd share a few lines as my son goes to this school.

I joined my son in Sr KG in 2010. that was the first year of operation for the school.
It was a tough decision for us to select a school. We did spend a couple of weeks going around different schools before we made our decision. The class strength and their teaching methodology is what made us choose it . The school fees is also not too bad.
there are few other schools that tout slightly lesser fees but the class strength is 40 [CBSE max allowed] Here its 25 max. Your child is getting the attention that is required even though you are shelling out extra 10k per year. This was another reason I picked the school.

I thought we'd give him a year with manthan and see how he fares.

So far we are happy with the decision we made. I saw the progress my son made last year and decided to continue with the school. He's in First grade now.
The best part is he absolutely loves school and doesnt complain about going there.

Their teaching is pretty good ..in the sense that they find innovative ways to teach the concepts. My son is more curious than ever. Most of the work done is classroom is hands on so that the kids actually grasp the concept. There is not much home work given which is a good thing. It just shows that most of the concept is taught in the class instead of placing burden on the parents. He also has time to enjoy his childhood and play in the evening rather than sitting with tons of homework.

The administration is pretty good. Teachers are accessible to parents. They accept your suggestions and implement them if they are feasible.

They conduct parent teacher meetings pretty regularly and keep u updated about their plans and the progress of your child.

About the playground they have a decent sized one..not big by any means. they also have a ground next door which is used for sports. They do give the kids ample time for PE.

Food is served in the school..breakfast , snack, lunch and snack. The menu is decent. They manage to have a good variety.

A bigger campus coming up at Gopanpally soon which will upto the 12th grade.
The madhapur campus has upto 7th grade.

If any of you have more queries post them and I will be happy to answer.

Sansar: you may want to chekc Phoenix Green in Gachibowli if you have nto done already.
newer school, small class size, good attention from teachers, same fee structure as manthan, can get admission even now.
I dont have first hand expereince since my kids wont go here but it is worth checking out if you have not made up your mind.

Thanks for input @amulyarishi, that is certainly helpful.

Thanks @Suny, I am in touch with phoenix greens and considering that too. The only thing which is making me a little less interested in PG is they have 2 campuses, and my younger one(2nd grader) and older one(6th grader) will go to different campuses, and in the first year of transition, wanted them to be together.

I am also in touch with Chirec. Will update you with things how they go, am reaching in 2 weeks. Thanks for your time.

I totally agree with amoolyarishi , I joined my daughter in Jr KG this year .
she takes time to be comfortable with new environment and people , I was very worried but I was surprised that she didn,t cry even on her first day and everyday she is happy to go to school and enjoying a lot .
It is very early to judge but I think it is perfect for small kids, lots of attention and very good teaching methodologies ....my daughter joined in mid July and she is already reading 2and 3 letter words
which were taught in school.

On the whole I am very happy with my decision and I would 100% recommend it
Please make sure if it is same with higher classes (teaching quality etc ) as I have no idea.

I am planning to return to India mid-2012, looking for an appropriate school for my daughter who will be in 3rd grade for next academic year. Can you please let me know how Manthan school is with respect to syllabus and the amount of stress on the kids?

My daughter has some health issues, hence looking for a school which is not too stressful for her. Any alternative school suggestions also would be helpful.
