If you have an option, where you would prefer to reside in US

In regards to the following criteria in that order

a. Enjoyable/ Warmer tolerable weather year round, without harsh winters
b. Quality/Cost of living/cost of home or rentals
c. Sr level career opportunities (IT/Corporate/R&D)
d. Affordable quality education for kids through public schools
e. Tolerable traffic during peak hours/availability of public transportation (reasonable/livable commute time between 10 [preferable] to 40 mins)
f. Scenic beauty/easy access to recreation
g. Peaceful / reasonably less crime rate


If you have an option, where you would prefer to reside/settle for the above criteria among the following cities and why?


1. Atlanta, GA
2. Carolinas (Raleigh/Durham/Charlotte/Cary/Charleston/Greenville/Columbia)
3. Seattle, WA
4. DC Area (DC/MD/VA)
5. Jacksonville, FL
6. Tampa/Miami/Orlando, FL
7. Dallas, TX
8. Houston, TX
9. Austin / San Antonio, TX
10. Phoenix, AZ
11. Southern California (Los Angeles/San Diego/Orange County)
12. San Francisco Bay Area, CA

For a second I am going to ignore your list and think that I have the option and affordability to move anywhere, no restrictions. I would then move to Coastal California, anywhere from Bay Area to San Diego.

Completely agree. No other place in the US even comes remotely close. It has to be either the SF Bay Area or Coastal SO Cal.
