R2I planned in 4 years. Need ideas for generating income.

I am planning R2I 4 years from now. Have been in USA for 12 years. Have a 2 year old kid.
Wife and I both work. 4 years is when I will have citizenship. By the time I R2I, I will have enough saved to generate about Rs 1-1.5 lakh in monthly income + buy a house. I am looking to settle back in a Tier2/3 city like Dehradun (good schools and low cost of living compared to metros). I am in a specialized area of hardware engineering, so getting a job in India is not an option. My question is, what can I do generate additional income? Would like to hear from people who have R2I-ed in a similar situation. Are there any particular businesses that suit R2I folks? Looking for ideas to generate income in a semi-retired mode.

A bed-n-breakfast type facility in the foot-hills of the Himalayas.

Pros
Home will be business ( many tax incentives)
Part-time work that might involve both you and spouse.
Cons
Not everyone is as service minded as required @ these butique facilities. You might be one....
Income will not be predictable or consistant.

Good suggestion. I was thinking along those lines, either B&B or a small lodge in one of the touristy areas around like Rishikesh.
