We returned to India in September and will be moving to Noida in another 15 days.
I will be working in Sector-62 and would like to know for decent high rise apartment complex for me and my wife.
My budget is a humble 25K.
There have been some posts on living in Noida but nothing recent.
Help will be appreciated.
I am in Gurgaon currently.
Thanks,
Pranav

Very true. We are pretty lazy in Noida.
A list of possible members as source can be found here.
Sectors 60 and 61 have a lot of multi-storey buildings.
A little further away, one can find flats in Sectors 50,51 1nd 52.

sector 60-61-62 have a lot of apartments . however, I would warn you that place is congested. I dropped the idea of living there. We moved to Greater Noida as it gives us the open space/wide roads and peaceful living which were so used to living overseas.
If you have the bandwidth to travel 20-25 minutes, do consider having a look at greater noida. there are lots of apartment complexes where you would find even 80 % open space .

Logged on to the forum after a really long time.
Glad to see a FOB RTIer in Noida!!
If you are looking to rent in a high rise gated complex with all new age facilities. the sectors which have these are 61,62,50,51,44 and 93.
Of these, sector 44 has prohibitive rents. Sector 50 has loads of good apartment complexes but rents out there are also increasing fast. Your best bet would be to actually focus on apartments in 61,62 since they would be close to your office and even the rents are reasonable there. We wanted to avoid the traffic mess within inner Noida sectos, so have opted for sector 93, which is on the Noida-G Noida expressway and has some good apartment complexes. It also gives you faster connectivity.
Do some groundwork by visiting sites like 99acres.com and magicbricks.com. Call up a few agents and give them your brief. You will surely find a good deal soon. However, must say the way rents are increasing in Noida....25K is the bare minimum you have to shelve to live in a decent 3 BHK in good complex :(

IMO GNoida rents are way cheaper and better quality of life. My neighbor has rented out her 2000 sq. ft apartment for 17 k. The same builder has another apartment of the same size and specs on expressway which would cost around 30k per month. The society is excellent, I havent seen a better maintained society in Noida/Gr. Noida or even Gurgaon. But of course it all boils down to whether that commute from G Noida is possible for OP or not . In my previous job, I was commuting to sector 62 from G Noida and it was roughly 25 mins one way and that stretch doesn't haven any traffic pit stops. I could easily drive at an average speed of 60-80 kmph.

Thank you all for the informative posts. 25 Min commute should not be a problem. I will be taking a company cab in all probability. Not a big fan of driving in India.
I will be working right next to the Fortis Hospital in sector 62.
Just to clarify, when we talk abt the expressway and GN, we are talking about sector 93 and so on right? The GN sectors seem to be names after greek fraternities. Saw a lot of Phi and sorts.

Also can you guys name a few societies, as long as it doesn't trample any rules of the forum, on the expressway and GN area?
I am such a newbie in this area
Some brokers suggested Indirapuram in ghaziabad.

I personally feel Indirapuram is a little congested and traffic is bad....some people do find Indirapuram good but I love some open space and hence I like G noida better...anyways, i have sent you a pm with some more details
