Starting a temple in my image.

Post by Mastan Bhai »

I am a wise person and would like to share my thoughts and experiences with other people. I think starting a temple is a better idea than personal blogging or writing an autobiography.

  • The temple would be set up in a 1500-2000sqft commercial property/retail/showroom in suburban Mumbai.
  • There will be a lifesize statue of myself, which people can pay respects to and adorn with garlands etc.
  • There will be large LCD screens featuring snippets of my wisdom, quotations that I approve of, and clips from movies and youtube that I approve of.
  • Pamphlets of philosophy and ideology will be sold. Perhaps, also other merchandise that I approve of. As well as spiritual/mind expanding trips.
  • Donations won't be actively sought (nor refused). Interested persons may however purchase a training/brainwashing program at the end of which they will be declared a priest or some such equivalent and presented with a certificate.
  • Completely scientific and rational religion/cult.
  • Tax-exempt status will be sought for the organization.
  • Will rely on novelty and controversy to generate publicity.

However, will such controversy get out of hand? Will lunatics from the Shiv Sena/MNS raid and burn down my temple? Any pointers for keeping this socially acceptable?

About the statue, stick to life size, don't go for much taller. They had put up this 26 ft tall statue of Marilyn Monroe in Chicago, and bad bad things are happening to it.

Here's Arnie gawking at a statue of himself:

Say, for example, imagine a small dessert SPOON hanging from that chain on the cover of the book here:

how many people will hold up a spoon for a photo, wear it as a pendant on their necklaces and chant something you had spouted ? If you can identify them, that would be your market segment. The other guys with the crescent moon, the plus sign, the star, the other kinds of trinkets, the whatever have the rest of the market. Their money/time etc.. is going to the other guys with their statues.

Statue of yourself comes much after you get yourself a following. You will have to coopt whatever Sena that is providing "protection" for your kind of business in that neighbourhood. Some of this sena could be part of your spoon wielding followers. You are obviously going to have to rent the place, get the riff-raff, feed them vada-pav and tea every day and keep them working the neighbourhood to get regular people come out and and see what the outfit is all about. You have to have programs to entertain the walk-ins, so that they can go and spread the "word".

It is all possible if you can take golden spoons out if your mouth! As to Shivsena goondas, you would have room full of gold to buy goondas yourself.

Temple comes afterwards. First you have to lay down the basics of explaining the philosophy, moral code for the mortals to follow, bhajans, yoga, foreign trips, make dollars and if you are succesful, then your devotees will make the temple where you can have fun with all your female devotees.

Many people form this forum will glad to be the treasurer also.

    RE: OP. #1

Lol ! Mastan Bhai. Untill now, I thought Mastan bhai has just created a title, " Mastan bhai is drunk “, but now, one will have to believe Ya ! Lol !

They say,.. “ First Deserve,. And then Desire !”

Until now, no one even dared to make a temple of ‘Mohandas’, where they are still not sure, that whether the PPL will come to worship him, just like Rama and Krishna !!!!
,… now,…… Mastan who ? His family members even deny of knowing him !! No ?

But anyway,.. the time we are living in, and after Amitabh and Hema presented their books of auto-biography,…..
thereafter even “dozen a dime” kind aa road-siders, ail-fail and any Mnay Moe and Jack kind of random personalities like “Abhijit sawant” also started writing their autobiography !! Lololol . A big lol !
Perhaps, his own family members remained failed to give him proper advices. Lol !
So, on that basis, dunno’ what to say !!!! Confused.

    Well,….
If, I borrow some “tapori” language to give an honest advice,… :

"Bole toh bheedu,…… Vat le,…... Patali wali gali se nikal le,…... jeeyaada shaan-patti nahin dikhaane ka,…... varna, apoon bhai log ke dhandhe ki bhi, vaat lug jaayegi.
Supaari ka dhandha kho ke, Tambaaku bechne ki baari aane ki, bheedu !
Statue, wax ka hi, banaayenge yeh yede log,…….. aur,….. wo hi saale, machis maar ke nikal jaayenge !
Abhi bhi waqt hoyela,…... soch lene ka,….. Before changing the ‘lane’ !"

[ So to speak Pal, what I am to say here is,…… rather Quit ( Put a 'full stop' on this tho’t) and make an easy exit,…... an escape from some unknown thin streets where no one can see ya, escaping ! This is not the area to be smart and looking sane and civil,..…........Otherwise we’ll lose the profit whatsoever we gain from in our own bhai-log’s “Supaari wala” business,….This people will make the statue of wax and a time will come, they will fill the mouth with kerosene and will run away, lighting it with a fire !
Better be wise,…. and act smart,.. after all,… it’s not our business of having made our statues and getting ourselves worshipped ]

His temple philosophy is simple and is as follows

    (1) Temple is for peeing

    (2) There is no rule 2. Go to rule-1
