Dishwasher in India

Bought Siemens SN26L800IN yesterday. Anybody has any review about this dishwasher? (although its little too late for that!). I just walked in the shop at 9:00 PM (after getting an earful from the wife), saw this highest priced dishwasher in that particular shop (39500) and asked him whether he can give it for Rs 36000. Salesman was ready to march home with his backpack all tied up so he offered 36500 and I took it.

As usual, I already have buyers remorse. I should have bought SN26L200IN. No difference other than the exterior and difference could have been almost Rs 3000.

Now, my favorite plumber is not in town today and expected tomorrow...lets see whether he comes and completes the piping and civil work tomorrow.

How does it matter. You must have got your rewards for bringing the dishwasher home.

If the plumber comes, the rewards will be sustainable.

I have Siemens SN56N554EU built-in (under counter) dishwasher. Really happy with this product. Almost no noise (unlike the one we had in US). The only problem I am facing is with the dishwasher detergent and salt. The Finish product seems to be out of stock in all of Pune! Also not available on their own website. Had to order some from Chennai :(

It is recommended to use soft water for all water related appliances. My dishwasher has built in softener and needs salt. Other than that I am not aware of any issues.

I recommend LG based on my experiences from 2011/2012. I bought an LG one the best they have at that time (Direct Drive etc.), but never used it. It also has some water softening mechanism in the bottom with some salt etc., I think it's required for Indian environment where water is hard especially in Hyderabad.

Yes, a couple of recommendations that I am aware of based on the location.

If you are in Hyderabad, the most popular brands will be those that end with "amma" (EeswarAmma, ParvathAmma, etc etc)
If you are looking at North India (Delhi and NCR) it will the brands that end with "bai" (ShantaBai, LakshmiBai, etc, etc)

These are proven brands and have been in existence for a very long time, and best part is they do not require electricity and hard water does not affect them
