My project for this weekend is to organize and clean up the paper clutter around the house. I think I am an organized person. I have signed up for paperless billing for all the places and also setup auto pay. In spite of that everyday mail load of junk papers comes in the mailbox. And some of them get accumulated over the time. We still need to keep some papers until that issue is closed. Then discard the paper after it is done. So this clean up should be a continuous process else they will be out of control and you end up sitting on the pile of papers.

Some ideas of clutter control
1. Immediately separate the mail: Don?t bring the junk mails to home. Stand near the recycle bin and sort it out there and the Junk mail will never make it into your home or on your counter tops! (Can you relate?).

2. Designate One Paper Pile: Simplify101.com suggests having a single bin or basket where you place all incoming papers, including mail and any paperwork you bring home from work, outings, appointments, or events. From there, you can take each piece and decide where it needs to go.

3. Decide to Decide. How much of the clutter in your home is the result of indecision? Not sure? Here?s an example.
A flyer comes home in the mail announcing an upcoming event. You hold onto it because you may want to go?but you don?t really decide if you will go or not. So the flyer sits on your counter for a few days until it is buried by the next few rounds of indecision. Should I go on this field trip? Should I use this coupon? Should I donate to this cause? but I don?t know. I?ll decide later.

I am done with the study room and surprise to see how much space I got back inside the drawers, cabinets and on the study table. Needless to say they are looking neat and clean now.

Happy clean up the mess.

This is all eastern media propaganda. I am doing fine and typing this from that mosque which has wi-fi.

On a serious note, I hate this "Times of India" news paper which has turn into soft porn magazine with all page 3 type of stories.

When I watch "Times now" and Arnab Goswami's shouting, I feel like braking the TV.

Good thing is I have unsubscribed to all Indian channels so my TV is safe now.

My feelings exactly. Its 10 percent news (that too poorly reported), 50% porn and 40% other junk. There was a time I did not visit TOI website for about 5 years. I dont know how I got back to reading it again. Rediff is no better. And I absolutely hate Indian TV news channels.
Then you might wonder where I get my desi news from. Now you see why I am addicted to this forum?

Just now Fedex delivered my laptop and I checked the status online it shows "delivered" immediately!
The technology made us so efficient. The delivery man comes with a handheld devices and the data is updated on real time.

How this shipping magic works? here is a video.

That Rassogolla picture is tempting but I am not falling for it.

I am a Bengali who eats Idli for breakfast and Dhokla for afternoon snaks. I am global citizen when it comes to eating.

Chakraan & Other Garden Experts:

Do we have any flowers plant/seed available in North East with smell? I mean something like Cestrum nocturnum (Raat Rani) or Jasminum sambac (Mogra). I am looking for flowers with smell so far no luck in local home depot.
