Information on Gateway American School in Chennai

The American School and Gateway International are 2 different schools. The american school is in Taramani and follows the IB syllabus and Gateway international has both CBSE and IB streams, and you can choose either of them. Gateway is in latter part of OMR. The american school mostly contains expatriates. Yes it will definitely be difficult to cope in CBSE or ICSE with entry directly into the higher class. The fees in American will be much higher than Gateway, but I guess their infrastructure would be good. As long as you are not planning to make your kid compete in the Indian exams, this should be fine.
