Any one from Montgomery, AL area

I have a job offer from Montgomery. Never been there, wondering if someone who lives/lived or know some one who did can provide some inputs. The job is good and offer is good but I am not sure about the area. I have 2 kids that are about to start schooling.

I have not lived over there but visited that place a few times. I worked in the New Orleans area(Louisiana) for along time which is a nearby state. That area in general is backward and people are quite ignorant, every one knows everyone kind of place. I have moved up north now and feel much accepted and overall feel better about living in America.

If you have a good job, go ahead and take it, and see for yourself. Every personality is different, you may like it. If you dislike the place, your free to leave it.

Thank you...I think I am gonna take the plunge....I am no stranger to the south or deep south but wondering about the indian community in Montgomery for obvious reasons...please let me know if anyone knows anybody from that town.
