I am planning for 2 days Boston trip in the coming weekend and need your inputs on family attractions (with 3 year old kid) in and around boston and I have already explored NYC/NJ/PA since I live in NJ. Already have in my mind based on Trip advisor attractions but would like to get inputs from members of this forum.
Thanks.

Museum of Science is excellent for kids and grown-ups alike. But its huge and sometimes even one entire day is not sufficient to cover it. I suggest you try it.

Don't forget to stroll down Harvard square ( musicians, magicians, restaurants and more) and walk by the river, one evening.

There are plenty of things to do in Boston:
1. New England Aquarium
2. You can take whale watch/evening dinner cruises which take you to the nearby islands
3. Take Duck boat our for a 2 hr tour of Boston
4. View from top from Prudential Center
6. Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market - for number of street artists, shopping, food (this is across #1)
7. Visit Museum of Science or Museum of Fine Arts - amazing museums
8. Visit Harvard/MIT - there are tours to go around the campus
9. Visit USS Constitution - ship in Charlestown
10. Follow Freedom trail and go to the historical places in Boston, just follow the red line on the streets
11. Go 40 miles down to Providence - see riverfire, eat good food
12. Go 40 miles south from #11 to Newport - see amazing mansions, beaches, Tennis Hall of Fame, Golf courses, Ocean Drive (very similar to the one in Monterey, CA) on Atlantic Ocean, fly kites, etc.,
13. Hike up to any of the mountains, drive 80-90 miles north for amazing hiking places - it's beautiful during fall
You can pick and choose from these!
