T20 world cup

Post by RRS »

Today India beat Pak to keep their hopes alive. The rediff says empathic victory : ) instead of emphatic.

Hope Indians can gather momentum by this victory and beat SA and not decide based on RR.

Since RRS mentioned the thread as T20 world cup, posting this here :). Now, it's not possible to say that India never loses to Pakistan in World Cup Cricket matches.

I feel bad for opening the thread. India could not qualify to SF due to RR even after beating the SA.
May be Pak and Aus will meet in finals again or hosts Sri Lanka still have fire in their belly.

My heart is for West Indies as they are underdogs for nearly many many years after superlative performance from 1960 to 1987 and they deserve to win this World cup T20 and hope the booming Cycle continues for them!!

I would like WI to win for the same reason and hope it revives Calypso cricket.

Interesting, I thought the majority of Indians would be rooting for Windies, either by choice or by virtue of not liking Sri Lanka. Didn't know there would be Srilankan fans in India :)

Congrats West Indies for winning the T20-2012 World Cup - You won because of Outstanding Fielding today...Thanks for your Calypso Dance!!

Today's Match is one of the best topsy-turvy match we have ever seen as the first 10 overs, West Indies was struggling for 32 for 2 with Gayle gone and then came back remarkably well with 104 in last 10 overs. Sri Lanka played beautifully up to 10 Overs where they were 51 for 2 and then the next 6 overs the wickets fell like anything with 78 for 6. Kulasekhara changed the complexion of the game by hitting 1 huge six and 3 fours and the match turned in the favor at 17th over. Finally when Kulaskehara lost his wicket, the match is sealed to West Indies who deserve to be the Champion!!

What a Match and Chris Gayle's beautiful Dance is the hallmark of the match...Instead of his batting we saw his dancing skills today :-)
