Parks in South Bangalore

Post by vpulsani »

Does anyone know of decent parks in South bangalore where one can run safely. I am an avid runner and would love to run in nature. Would be nice to have something akin to the Cubbon Park.

Thanks
Venkat

There are many parks in South Bengaluru. Lalbagh is a great park....there is Krishna Rao park in Basavanagudi and many more. It depends on the area of South BLR.

This could be a good starting point:

The parks on Southend Road, called as Rose garden parks by the localites has many joggers in the am hrs. Also, joggers do run on the road around the park, to get more even surface as compared to the uneven surface on the tiled path within the park.

Thanks for the replies. I was specifically looking for anything that is close to Banerghatta area. Would be ideal if I can jog down there if not a couple of km's away so that I can drive down or bike to it

Pls provide specifics so that you get specific responses too....Are you looking near Bannerghatta as in near Bannerghatta National Park (actual Bannerghatta area) or Bannerghatta Road which is a good 15-20 km stretch all the way from Hosur Road to Bannerghatta. If it is Bannerghatta Road, Pls specify the location of Bannerghatta Road (like Diary Circle or Shoppers Stop or JP Nagar 3rd phase or IIM or Meenakshi Temple etc).

We are planning to put our kids in School Of India(Anekkal Road) or Samhita (Lakshmipura Village of Banerghatta Rd).
Right now house hunting for a house close to these schools, so, it would be nice if we could find a place which has access to some parks around these areas

Thanks
