I have run into a weird issue with my new Tata Sky+ connection on Panasonic 46" Plasma (TC-P46S1) (NTSC TV from USA). The TS+ DVR/STB does not have option to select refresh rate (1080i - 50Hz / 1080i- 60Hz) as compared to their HD box without DVR. As a result I am not able to use HDMI, but getting decent quality with Component Connection.
The problem is that the picture seems to be zoomed in and not fitting the screen. Some logos on left/right and especially the bottom part is getting cropped. For example, the Tata Sky Menu, Closed Captions are not fully visible. I have played with all settings option on TV and STB. Anything in particular I need to look at? Could this be related to the refresh rate (50Hz vs 60Hz)? Do you think I need a converter? I am yet to try another source to the same TV (BD player) and will also try another TV (Panasonic 60" Plasma) soon.
Please help!

Go for the STB without the DVR if you want to watch w/o loss of quality on this USA bought TV. Had the same experience.

For the second connection, I am going for HD without DVR. For the DVR, do you think HDMI converter (e.g. Orei xd-1090) will work?
