Filing W2 returns from outside USA- how to get money ?

Hello,

I have paid my taxes in 2014 as H1B and currently in process of filing my returns with TaxAct. However, I am no longer in the USA and don't have any accounts there. I am currently in Australia. How could I get my refunds in Australia ? I wonder how people who go back to India do it from India.

Don't you have any account left open in US?
That is a recommendation to do if you leave the US. Makes it easier to do funds transfer etc.

File it with your current address and opt for check. The check will be mailed to you. It may take a while to reach you and IRS does not use anything beside USPS.

You can deposit the check in Australia, but you don't have the choice of choosing the best exchange rates.

The recommendation is that you have an US account, but then the boat has sailed.
