I have already completed the online process for my son's PIO to OCI conversion and now need to visit Mumbai FRRO office to submit the physical application. Does my son need to accompany me?

Thanks.

Yes, you would need to submit the copies in duplicate (duly attested).

1) Take originals (like Birth Certificate, Passport ) for verification.
2) Take Multiple pictures of your kid for 2 copies to be submitted.
3. It takes 42 days for you to get your OCI.

You don't need to take your son to the FRRO.

Above is my experience with Chennai FRRO. Good luck.

I assume your daughter completed 18 Year's. she is major as per indian law. she need to visit in person. photo's will be in size equivalent to US B visa . Assume she visit's the FRRO on 24-02-2016 and assume it take's 3 months to process the appln for PIO to OCI conversion. After cross checking the receipt status of the OCI card, Around 24-05-2016 (for e.g) she need to take her original USA passport along with Original PIO card. Original PIO card need's to be surrendered. get the 'U' Visa sticker stamped in the USA Passport. Get the original OCI Card booklet collected.
