My daughter is doing 12th grade at CBSE school in India. The group doesn't have Math but marketing. As far as I know, the usual options are, do B.com / BBA/ BA economics etc and then MBA. I know kids are studying ICWA or CA after 12th or during 12th itself. But without Math, I am not sure if that is possible.
After reading this, it is totally scary.
[h=1]Only 7% of India's B-school graduates employable: Study[/h]http://www.deccanherald.com/content/542996/only-7-indias-b-school.html
As of today she is very average kid in school. We (parent / teachers etc) all know she is capable of more than this, but very lazy and addicted to social networks. Very hard to motivate her to do any self study. But still would like to know the options to inform her. At this time, we don't have any hopes for her to get into top B schools for MBA, but you never know.
So, would like to know what she can study now or from next year in addition to go to college so that she will be better prepared for job market.
Thanks for your help.

My suggestion would be to first try and find out what interests her. What are the kind of things that she would find interesting. If it is just gossip, social networks, then journalism may be her forte. But first you have to find things that motivate her, not necessarily what you think would be good.
Being lazy would always stand in her way but may be she is just lazy because she finds things she is doing, uninteresting. When she finds something interesting to do, may be her apparent laziness will disappear.

One of life's greatest mysteries is how the boy who wasn't good enough to marry your daughter can be the father of the smartest grandchild in the world.

Yes we asked her the same several times. Each time comes with different one (can blame it on age). Here are some:
Traveler -
Food critic - Being a strict vegetarian, I doubt that the options are limited.
Lawyer -
etc
For anything , either she has to study really well or need tons of money to do what she wants. I am telling her to study well which will help you to make money and do whatever she wants.
Of course, she wants to study in US even after +2. I don't have any clues how she is planning to do that.

Asking won't do.
She has to be observed. Keep an eye on her and see what does interest her. See what she gets thrilled with. What type of outings she goes out with her friends.
Chat with her friends. Don't ask them what she likes. Don't be obvious. Chatting with them, hopefully they will drop some pearls of wisdom pointing to her interests. I would gladly take on this task. I like talking to young girls but then you live too far away.
