Kismat (Fate)

Post by indian4ev3r »

How many of you users believe that everyone has their own kismat? Or that what happens in our life is already predetermined? What if you want to get someone who has lived in your neighbourhood but never talked to? Someone who has only looked at you and smiled at some times but completely ignored at other times? Do you think kismat will connect such two people if one likes the other?

Don't think so. Sorry.

But they say-
Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai... (If you want something really bad, then KISMAT try to make it happen).
But again, I guess we are not talking about any cheez (thing) here and the one only likes the other (does not imply - One wants real bad here).

I thought now-a-days when you want to "get" someone you either just connect on facebook or whatsapp or some other social media. Waiting for "Kismat" to connect you both is very out-dated isn't it? Maybe we should start a new social platform called "Kismat Connection" where people happen to meet by chance. :)

Barter. Every girl in a village would know how many water buffaloes she'd fetch for her father. OP has to ask around in the village.

There was such a thing 15 yr ago. It was called yahoo messenger. One of my friends met lot of girls through that. I maybe wrong but i think on facebook you have to know some one to connect.

You mean Yahoo chat room? The place where people used to start conversation with: asl? :)

What if one has no access to social media and doesn't even have a phone? There's no way to connect inline. And the other one sees this person once a year but never gets a chance to talk. Only she smiles at him and sometimes doesn't even look at him at other times because she feels shy. Does this represent liking between each other? Will mikismat not bond these two?

This appears to be tending to the subject matter of an already-whacked thread. :) reminds me of that story in elementary school text books in India.

These are just some thoughts I've been recently having.. wish it was as easy as asking how many water buffalos shed fetch for her father.
