President Trump - the saga continues (for the next 4 years)

Post by DesBhakt »

Was debating whether to post this in the jokes thread, but then decided the subject of the article should be in his own thread.

Trump takes credit for inventing phrase ‘priming the pump.’ Merriam-Webster corrects him.

[QUOTE]In an interview with the Economist published Thursday, Trump took credit for the common saying while explaining his economic philosophy. He was arguing that it’s all right for a tax plan to increase the national deficit in the short term if it spurs economic growth in the long term.

Trump asked the magazine’s editors if they understood what he meant by “we have to prime the pump.” Then he asked if they had ever heard of the phrase while claiming to have thought it up earlier this week.
“Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven’t heard it. I mean, I just… I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good. It’s what you have to do,” Trump said.

Shortly after the interview appeared, Merriam-Webster noted that the phrase “priming the pump” dates to the early 1800s and has been used to reference government investment expenditures since at least 1933.

Anyone who still thinks that Trump is under investigation, even after knowing the facts confirmed by 2 Senators, is a "useful idiot" to false propaganda.

Anyone believes that FBI/CIA/NSA have found evidence of collusion, when none other than Clapper and later, Sen. Feinstein, had confirmed that there isn't any evidence of collusion yet, is a "useful idiot" to false propaganda.

This is very disingenuous and obfuscatory. The Trump campaign (and several associates in the campaign) are under investigation. I don't think there are many (any ?) people claiming that hard evidence has been found yet.

Beyond that, it's Trumps actions that have poured gasoline on the fire. He kept Flynn on several days after being told of Flynn's meetings with the Russians (and only fired him after the news was leaked). He fired Comey, published a letter that claimed a bogus rationale, then went on TV 2 days later and basically admitted that rationale was a lie. Oh. and he promptly met the Russian Ambassador. Not to mention threatening Comey with tapes of their conversation (and his earlier comments about being tapped by Obama).

And people who are concerned about this are somehow 'useful idiots' for attacking the legitimacy of the President ? Those of us whose memories aren't conveniently short remember Trump attacking Obama's legitimacy over his birth certificate (and lying about finding major revelations on the birth certificate).

If anything should be embarrassing to Americans, it should be erratic and increasingly deranged behaviour of Trump. That is what is laughable. A breathtaking level of chutzpah is involved in ignoring all that and claiming that Trump critics are really at fault here.

One is reminded of the Hindi proverb '' Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Dante" (the thief is chastising the policeman), or the English proverb about a pot and a kettle :)

Anyone remember when the Republicans in Congress carried out 8 probes of Hillary Clinton over Benghazi ? None found that she had committed any wrongdoing, yet the Republicans spent far more time on that than was spent on 911. I remember that.

And does anyone remember when those Republicans were called 'useful idiots' by conservatives for beating this horse again and again ? If you don't remember it, its because it never happened.

Yup, truly astonishing hypocrisy from the Trump Bhakts to say that anyone concerned about the Trump campaign's links to Russia is a 'useful idiot. Or to rephrase -- not astonishing at all, but incredibly hypocritical.

OK..I go out on a trip for a week and come back..and hee haw ! The world, according to liberals, has been turned upside down. Here are my thoughts :

#1) No intent, no Crime - I am glad that Comey got fired. I am still mad at him for his gleeful mind reading of Mrs.H - She didnt intend , so she is free . Nowhere in the world have I seen a collision of power and politics . And nowhere was this displayed when Comey magically concluded his investigation just 2 days before election - again with same result.

#2) Sharp , clear and focused - These are marks of a leader and Mr.T has again demonstrated why he is Chief Executive..Imagine this with any other Dem...say Chuck Schumer or someone..There will be deals and counter deals , backdoor negotiations , few trillions passed back and forth ...And in the end , nation will lose. Mr.

#3) The leaks - Even before an investigation starts or ends, the news seem to reach NY time and Wa Po. The big organization have so many people in the agencies on their payroll that it is impossible to have a free and fair investigation anymore. Their informants make sure only the "leftist" part leaks out and the other side is suppressed. The role of the new director must be identify the moles.

#4) Russia connections - The tin hats are in full force and even after almost an year of investigation, have nothing to prove. They are now focused on Manafort - who himself was fired by Trump for having Ukraine connection...So their point is - spread more FAKE NEWS and if you keep telling them for next 10 years , may be something will stick. I hope the new FBI director drops all investigation.

#5) Dems backflip - Till last week , the Dems were angry with Comey. Even the candidate herself told last week , she lost b'coz of Comey. They were all out for his head. Now that Mr.T has done it , they backfliped so fast - "Who me , I always respected Comey"...yeah..right..

oh wow! I'm absolutely convinced that sophisticuss is trolling us. There's no way that you think Trump is doing great!
Even Fox news seemed to be disgusted with the way things have gone last week.
Sorry! This isn't even funny anymore

Really! You must be watching some pay-per-view channel there. Rest of the world, including conservative pundits and non-fake Fox News are seeing something a tad different.

President Trump is great. Not only he is great at grabbing body parts, he is great at grabbing at English Language Terms and claiming to be his invention

President Trump in an interview published Thursday said he invented the phrase “priming the pump,” a common saying used in economics.

“Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven’t heard it. I mean, I just … I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good. It’s what you have to do,” Trump said during an interview with editors for The Economist.

Delusions of grandeur, Narcisstic Personality Disorder, general delusions, paranoia, lying, inciting violence, Racist, instability.

Although, the Goldwater rule says that mental health professionals should diagnose in person, re Trump being a public persona, that is not as necessary.

“Worse than just being a liar or a narcissist, in addition he is paranoid, delusional and grandiose thinking and he proved that to the country the first day he was president,” Gartner explained. “If Donald Trump really believes he had the largest crowd size in history, that’s delusional.”

Dr. James Gilligan, a psychiatrist and professor at New York University, said that Trump’s erratic behavior has similarly disturbed him — despite the fact that he has lots of experience working with violent convicted criminals.

“I’ve worked with murderers and rapists, I can recognize dangerousness from a mile away,” he said. “You don’t have to be an expert on dangerousness or spend fifty years studying it like I have in order to know how dangerous this man is.”

There are rumors that he may have some kind of STD like Syphilis

https://newrepublic.com/article/140702/medical-theory-donald-trumps-bizarre-behavior

Its unbelievable that they make immigrants go through many medical tests for GC paper work but a president or senator does not have to go through any medical test before running for office, what a joke.

Imagine if it is true that a person suffering from neurosyphilis is the president with ability to launch missile strikes with just a phone call.
