If husband helps wife in dressing up, is he hen-pecked?

Post by Hyderabadi »

Party time

Wife: Can you help me with the Sari

Me: Eyes light up, yes yes.

Wife : I don't like your eagerness, you will end up doing something else and waste time instead of helping me, go away.

Me: Ok suit yourself, I will go back to watching some TV....

If husband helps wife in dressing up, is he hen-pecked?

If I ask a friend in India he will say Rahul is much worse than hen-pecked. If I ask a gora colleague here he will say "there is no such thing called hen-pecked husband. One should do everything to keep her in good spirits. Happy wife is happy life". To me there is nothing wrong in Rahul holding her saree plaits as long as she reciprocates by holding something else for him. It is about mutually meeting expectations. Rahul and Arushi are lucky couple, as long as Rahul is not pappu enough but knows how to respond to his desi friends when they confront him and ask "సిగ్గు లేదా నీకు" (are you not ashamed).

Larcusa;654706What if the wife doesn't wear sarees at all ? What is the husband supposed to "hold" in that case ?

If husband doesn't like saree, he can hold her hand, plant a kiss and thank her for not wearing sarees.

If he likes saree, he can hold her legs and beg her to wear sarees.

BTW I do this boring chores many times…. I know some people find these moments (specially gals) romantic… but I strongly believe guys cannot be romantic, most of the time they are faking and fooling gals to achieve their ultimate goal….

Nailed it squarely. :wink

Whatsapp joke forward. Seems appropriate to this thread especially after Lakshya's post.

A question was asked to group of males. If husband is giving foot massage to wife, is he doing it as service or due to love?
Answer was 'Service if he is massaging his own wife, love if it is someone's wife : )'

Reads good in Hindi.

Sawaal poocha gaya.
Biwi ke pair dabana seva hai ya mohabbat?
biwi agar khud ki ho toh seva
doosre ki ho toh mohabbat
