I returned to india couple of years back from US. I have a good job in a product based company and my wife works too.
Lot of my friends are in US. but when i was hoping that india has arrived and india's future growth story is going to be incredible in next 10-15 years. At the same time, i see a lot of educated indians migrating or trying to migrate to countries like Australia and canada with permanent residency.
So they are not feeling the future as secure and bright for themselves and their children.
What makes them feel so? So for me it has again created a dilemma in my mind.

Power of indoctrination.
It is not as if India is bad and people live forever in other countries without encountering any problems.
The power that ruled India so long has indoctrinated Indians(mostly this problem is with people having education done using English/US standards and not with Japanese or some other way and you don't find dilemma in these people this much ) and as a result most English educated Indian people have complex feelings that they are not getting a good deal if they happen to be in India. So in the sea of poverty, even well educated Indians hate themselves for being in India or to have born in India.

And whats wrong with seeing the outside world ? You yourself have done that , decided it is not for you and came back. They might as well do the same.
I have not met any Indian with Japanese standard of education yet, so cannot comment on what Kumm is saying. May be he is right. Simply blame parents or previous government, whichever is convenient. I do this all the time. It is either Gandhis or poor upbringing for all problems in my life, otherwise I have done reasonably OK through my own sheer hard-work.

When did I say anything is wrong? I have not in any of my posts mentioned anything in detail about me such as where I live or lived or what I did or doing. So the first para of yours is shooting in the air.
The most effective indoctrination is when the person who’s been indoctrinated is convinced that he hasn’t been indoctrinated.(https://www.fff.org/2012/11/09/the-power-of-indoctrination/)

Forget others.
What is your goal in life?
Would being in India help you fulfill that?

Maybe they have made enough money by legal or illegal means and they would like to live in clean and healthy environment of the west. In india no one is immune from the various diseases going on. Even rich and powerful people get dengue , malaria ,TB etc.

There is some truth to this, if my memory serves me right, before year 1995 if someone was rich in Bangalore, life was heaven. There was no water supply problems, traffic/pollution was non existent.
But not anymore, even they have to deal with the chocking traffic and pollutants ever present. Maybe bottled water makes them not worry about water.

You are mixing up 2 very different things.
1) India has arrived and India's future growth story is going to be incredible
2) Living in India can be hell.
Both the above statements are not mutually exclusive. Both can be true at the same time. India can offer immense opportunities if you want to make money and make it big. At the same time there are costs associated with it.
The opposite is probably Japan and Europe maybe. Very stagnant economies for a long time but very good standards of living.
So it depends on what you want and are you willing to pay the cost. The costs of living in a developed country are very different. These people who migrate there will probably struggle initially or may be later to manage their finances, whereas in India they are already set. So it really depends on what stage of life you are and what is more important for you.
I am currently in the money accumulation stage and I have made enough now to go back and retire in India. But as long as the money accumulation is easy I will stay in Singapore. I don't think I will be able to accumulate so much money that I can buy citizenship in a developed country and retire there, so for me go back to India is the easier option.
